Thanks to information, every citizen can be a good controller of its municipality. A modern application - MuMAP - developed byt the SAO SR will help
Bratislava, 13 July 2020 - The Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic (SAO SR) has made available on its website an interactive analytical tool for local governments control. The application, called MuMAP (from the English Municipalities on Map), offers the general public not only the results of SAO SR audits since 2012, but also an overview of the indebtedness of individual cities and municipalities, or acquired Euro funds per capita, directly on the map of Slovakia. The pilot version was created by the SAO RS team at the first international hackathon of European audit institutions in March 2020 (Prague), where it ended in the top five.
The application is published in Slovak on the main page of the Office's website http://mumap.nkusr.sk/. MuMAP will thus be used not only internally, e.g. in identifying risks, planning and selecting entities for audit by the SAO SR, but with a wide range of people interested in information. "We bring you a very user-friendly analytical application that can be used by anyone who wants to check their municipality. With this application, we also want to give people a tool that will enable them to be an active part of public life in their region,“ explains Ľubomír Andrassy, Director General of the Office of the SAO SR President.
