The public administration budget must actively respond to the challenges associated with COVID-19

Bratislava, September 11, 2020 - National auditors draw the attention of the management of the Social Insurance Agency, as well as the Slovak Government, to the risks associated with further loss of income due to increased unemployment, but also the persistent effects of COVID-19 in the entire business sector. At the same time, this negative phenomenon can be significantly reflected in the solvency of health insurance companies towards health care providers. Analysts of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic in the ongoing monitoring of the public administration State budget development also point out the insufficient drawing of European financial assistance, which, at the level of 35%, is one of the lowest in the EU.
